Step-by-step explanation:
You are not weak in Maths. It's just a mental thing which you have developed in your mind. Maybe, you heard your parents or your teacher saying that you are poor in Maths and you too have believed in this notion.
I will tell you my story. I was good in Maths till 8th standard but when I reached 9th standard, I started getting just passing marks. I used to get very good marks in other subjects but Maths, I simply felt was not made up for me. My mother always used to compare me with my elder sister who had cracked IIT JEE, that how she was so good and how I can be so poor in Maths despite being her sister. It was not that the subject was difficult. I had joined math tuition along with my friends. My tutor always used to encourage students who were brilliant in maths and mistreat the ones like me by scolding in front of the whole class. I stopped going to my tuition classes after my first term got over. I had just managed to pass my Math exam and I felt that going to the same tutor was a waste of both time and money. I started studying on my own, trying to understand the theorems. In my second term exam my score increased by 20% but still it was below average.
I struggled in maths for 2 more years, when I failed in Engineering Mathematics subject in 1st year of my engineering. It was not unusual though. You will be surprised to see so many students fail in Maths during their Engineering despite being good in school.
During my summer break, I again started going to a tuition class. The only difference this time was that I was the only one in the class. I never felt shy in asking silly doubts as I knew that nobody would be there to laugh. Also, I had told my tutor whose name was Mr. Mittal on the first day itself that I was weak in maths. He guided me for four months. I started gaining an interest and liking for maths. I realised that I was never weak in Maths. It's just that I never got a good tutor or teacher in school. The teachers and tutors appreciated only those students who would come up with a solution in less than 5 minutes and insulted the not so intelligent ones.
Mr. Mittal gave me the confidence that I can do it. I became so interested in Maths that I used to attend classes even if it was raining heavily outside. He told me one day that over the years, he has taught so many people but the greatest joy he received was in teaching me. I got the highest marks in Maths in my third semester and also passed the one which I had failed.
So I would suggest you two things. First thing, don't ever feel that you are bad in Maths. It just requires understanding and practice. Don't try to mug anything but understand it. The second thing is, go for a private tutor like I did or maybe ask any of your friend who is good in Maths and who won't judge you if you are poor in it to help you with basics and other stuff you find difficult.
Nothing in life is difficult to achieve. Spend more time with Maths. Practice, practice and practice. If I could do it, then definitely you can as well
i would first suggest that write down the formulaes ok then pick a problem check out the question and see which formula can be used and give a try then u will come to know when to apply formula and which one
