$\longmapsto\tt{\dfrac{7x+8}{2x+8}=\dfrac{5}{2}}$

$\longmapsto\tt{2(7x+8)=5(2x+8)}$

$\longmapsto\tt{14x+16=10x+40}$

$\longmapsto\tt{14x-10x=40-16}$

$\longmapsto\tt{4x=24}$

$\longmapsto\tt{x=\cancel\dfrac{24}{4}}$

$\longmapsto\tt\bf{x=6}$

Value of x is 6...
