Tea was discovered in ancient China, about 5000 years ago.

It was said that the Emperor Shen Nung discovered tea in 2732 B.C.. When leaves from a wild tree accidentally fell into his boiling water w pot, the pleasant scent mesmerize him and he liked the taste and named it Ch'a, which means something to be further investigated. In india, it is still called as 'cha' in many places.
