Solve 2x + 3y = 11 and 2x – 4y = -24 and hence find the value of’m’ for which y = mx +3.​

from eq 1

x = 11-3y/2

2(11-3y/2) - 4y = -24

22-6y/2-4y=-24

22-6y-8y= -48

14y=70

y=5

so

x= 11-3(5)/2=11-15/2=-4/2=-2

therefore,

y=mx + 3

5=m(-2)+3

8=m(-2)

m=8/-2 =4
