Time for a challenge
A and B are two points 150km apart on a highway.Two cars start from A and B at the same time .If they move in the same direction they meet on 15 hours.But if they move in the opposite direction,they meet in 1 hour.Find their speeds.

Let the speedof car A be x and the sppeed of car B be y
Then The distance travelled by car A in 15 hours = 15x
and the distance travelled by car B = 15 y
then 15x - 15y = 150
or x - y =10..........(i)
and similarly x + y = 150..........(ii)
Adding (i)and (ii) we get
2x = 160 Hence x =80
Putting x in (ii) we get
80 + y = 150 Hence y =70
Therefore speed of car A = 80 kmph
And speed of car B = 70 kmph
