The freezing point of oxygen is -218°C and hydrogen is -252°C. A lab is lowering the temperature inside the fridge. Which freezes first? Why?

-252 is lesser than -218. So the oxygen will freeze first because -218 comes earlier than -252. So if we lower the temperature gradually, the oxygen gas will freeze first.

As we know -252°C lower than - 218°C
So ΔT = -252.8 - (-218.79) = -34.01 C 
The temperature would have to drop an additional 34.01 C below the freezing point of oxygen for the hydrogen to freeze.

Therefore oxygen will freeze first.
