Doping is the process of adding some impurity atoms in the semi conductor. These impurity atoms are known as dopants. After addition of these dopants some of the properties of the conductors can be changed according to our need.

dopping :-- it is a process of deliberate addition of a desirable impurity atoms to a pure semiconductor to modify its properties in controlled manner .the immurity atoms are called dopants.

method of dopping :-

heat the crystalline semiconductor in an atmospheric containing dopants atoms so that the latter diffuse into the semiconductor.
