In very simple words, it's only due to the process of evolution that such a diverse life forms are present on earth. Evolution has lead to the divergence of the life into numerous different ways. As we come across all these life forms, there is a need that we can study and observe them in a systematic manner, to co-relate them which will help us to understand them in the best possible way. Here comes the need to classify these organisms on the basis of their features, taking into account of their similarities and differences. Gradually evolution has lead to a systematic and appropriate classification system.
