Why a less negative number is always greater than more negative number?

0 is greater than -1 because -1 is anegative value while 0 is neithernegative nor positive. On numberscale , generally the numbers which are less than 0 have negative valueand the numbers which are greater than zero are positive numbers . So , 0 is greater than -1.
