The tendrils are sensitive to touch. When they came in contact with the support, the part which is in contact doesn't grow rapidly due to lack of auxins which helps on cell enlargement and cell diffrentiaton but the part which is away from contact grow rapidly bcoz auxin gets accumulated there. Since it makes tendril to move around the support and cling on it.

Auxin is synthesized at the shoot tips helps the cells to grow longer. When light is coming from one part of the plant auxin diffuses towards the shady region of the shoot. This the plant appears to bend towards light. Which makes the tendrils attach to a support.
