Explanation:

area of ∆

1/2(38-14)(32-7)............. the radius is half the side which has 14cm

= 1/2×24×25 =300cm²

Now,

area of rect. = l×b= (32-7)(14) .... (total l=32 joined with semi circle with a radius 7cm)

= 25×14 =350cm²

Now area of a semi circle= 1/2(πr²)

= 1 ( 22 × 7²)

2 ( 7 )

= 11×7= 77cm²

We can also see that there is a small circle with a radius 3.5 cm which is not shaded.

therefore area of that circle= πr²

= 22/7 × 3.5²

= 22 ×3.5 ×3.5

7

=11×3.5=38.5cm²

now total area of the shaded parts = 300cm²+350cm²+77cm² -38.5cm² = 688.5cm²
