Explain this Statement ,Not From
Google.

1).'In vaporization when heat energy supplied increases the potential
energy of the molecules.As the result intermolecular forces of attraction decrease'

2).Also explain why increase in potential energy decrease in intermolecular forces attraction

Here's your answer:-

In vaporization when heat is supplied it doesn't increase potential energy of the particles, it increases the KINETIC ENERGY. As when heat is supplied the particles gain kinetic energy and they start moving very rapidly. Due to this rapid increase in kinetic energy and the movement of particles, the particles gain enough energy to break the intermolecular force attraction and get free. So, the intermolecular force don't actually decrease it just happens that the kinetic energy of parties increases more than the intermolecular force of attraction.

Also, I don't think the potential energy has anything to do here, Cause potential energy is energy attained by the object when it is at some height.



I am not a "Chemistry hero" so there's a teeny tiny possibility that I couldn't be to the point :p
