It is as simple.
The formula for acceleration is V/T.
And for velocity we have Displacement / T.
When we substitute this for V in acceleration we get Displacement/ TxT.
Displacement is measured in metres which can be called as a unit of length so we use short form of length which is L. Denominator is T square so we write it as T only. So, now we have L/ Tsquare. 1/T^2 can be written as T^-2.
So, finally we have LT^-2.

Thanks.
Hope you understood and my explanation was helpful to you
