Gravitational potential of a point on the axis of a uniform ring = - GM/√(r² + R²)

where, G is gravitational constant.

M is mass of the ring.

r is the perpendicular distance of the point on the axis from the ring

R is the radius of ring, assuming the ring is thin enough, of course, for the radii to coincide.
