◈ Age of his neighbours son?

Solution

Let

◕ Daughter's age = x

◕ Son's age be 5(x) = 5x

◕ Wife's age = 5(5x) = 25x

◕ His age = 2(25x) = 50x

☯ As Per the Question

The sum of the ages of all these 4 members add up to the age of their grandmother who is celebrating her 81st birthday

➝ Daughter+Son+Wife+Him = Grandma

➝ x+5x+25x+50x = 81

➝ 81x = 81

➝ x = 81/81

➝ x = 1

So now substituting the value of x in the Equation for son's age,

➳ Son's Age = 5x

➳ Son's Age = 5(1)

➳ Son's Age = 5 years

∴ Son of the neighbour is 5 years old

C = 51

D = 2C

Substitute C = 5A

D = 2(5A)

D = 10A

Grandmother's age = 81

A + B + C + D = 81

A + A/5 + 5A + 10A = 81

(5A + A + 25A + 50A)/5 = 81

5A + A + 25A + 50A = 81 × 5

6A + 75 A = 81 × 5

81 A = 81 × 5

A = 5
