Dear Teacher,
When I first met you I didn’t want to be in your class and didn’t think we would get along at all. I was right. I didn’t understand the way you explained assignments and we had a few heated discussions about why we studied some topics.
I still think some of the subjects we had to do were a waste of time but I want to thank you for taking the time to explain things to me in a way I understood. Letting me present my assignments instead of writing them was really helpful and made me feel more confident in class.
After you helped me to get an assessment I found out I was dyslexic and this explained why I got so frustrated in class. Even though I still struggle with reading and writing, I have learned new ways to remember spellings and I’m getting better at it all the time.
Thank you for helping me, even when I didn’t really appreciate it, and thank you for making sure I got the extra help I needed.
