"Ah! well-a-day! what evil looks
Had I from old and young!"

the ancient mariner says that all the people in the boat/ship blamed him for the stopping of the breeze as he had killed the christian soul , aka the albatross . All the people in the boat/ship experience great sorrow because of the ancient mariner's doing.

The Ancient Mariner curses himself for killing the albatross and he is also criticised by other young and old  crew members for killing the Albatross
