for (i) 13.5 ohms

r equalent = 13.5 ohms

for (ii) 6 ohms

r equalent = 6 ohms

Explanation:

for (i) 13.5 ohms

connect 2 resistors in parallel & 1 in series to them ,then resultant redistance is as below :

r equalent = [(9 x 9)÷(9+9)] + 9

= [ 81 ÷ 18] + 9

= 13.5 ohms

for (ii) 6 ohms

connect 2 resistors in series & 1 in parallel to them, then the resultant resistance be like...

r equalent = [ (9+9) x 9 ] ÷ (9+9) +9

= [18 x 9 ] ÷ 18 + 9

= 162 ÷27

= 6 ohms
