Find the pressure inside a water droplet having diameter of 0.5 mm at 20 degree Celcius if the outside pressure is 1.03N/cm 2and the surface tension of water at that temperature is 0.0736 N/m.

Here's your answer!!

t = 0.736 N/m

Pressure inside the droplet,

r =  \frac{d}{2}  =  \frac{0.5}{2}   = 0.025mm


p =  \frac{2t}{r}

p =  \frac{2 \times 0.0736}{0.025}  = 1.62n |cm {}^{3}


= 1.62 N/cm³
