Given

x + 2y = 3 ...1) }×2

2x + y = 6 ...2) }×1

subtracting

2x + 4y = 6

2x + y = 6

- - -

3y = 0

y= 0

put y = 4/3 in eqn.

x + 0 = 3

x = 3

x = 3

X=3

Answer:

We can solve this equation by elimination method...

x+2y=3 ----1

2x+y=6-----2

-------------------

2(x+2y=3)

1(2x+y=6)

---------------------

2x+4y=6-----3

2x+y =6------4

- - -

--------------

3y=0

y=0

putting value of y in equation 1

x+2y=3

x+2(0)=3

x=3

So value of x is 3....
