  1. 1. Opaque - aluminium sheet , wooden board , cello tape , tyre , rubber.

2. Transparent - air ,. smoke , fog , polythene sheet .

3. Translucent - lime juice , milk

2. Light normally travels on a straight-line path. It follows a curved path if it passes through a strong gravitational field. Light moves as a wave. But unlike sound waves or water waves, it does not require any material or element to communicate its energy along.

3. Yes, of course. The body of a fish is opaque. Hence if sunlight or any other light falls on it it casts a shadow on the other side

4. Shadow is the dark patch formed when an object obstructs the path of the light. Hence, no light reaches in the shadow region due to which the colour of the shadow is black. So, the colour of shadow is independent of the colour of the object because light is always absent there.

5. Solar eclipses result from the Moon blocking the Sun relative to the Earth; thus Earth, Moon and Sun all lie on a line. Lunar eclipses work the same way in a different order: Moon, Earth and Sun all on a line. In this case the Earth's shadow hides the Moon from view
