Solution :-

Given :

A dishonest shopkeeper profess to sell sugar at its CP.

He uses a weight of 980g for 1 kg.

Let the Selling price of 1 kg or 1000 g be x

Selling price of 1 g = x/1000

Cost price of 980 g = (980 × x)/1000 = 0.98x

Selling price is greater than the cost price therefore profit.

Profit = (S.P - C.P)

= (x - 0.98x)

= 0.02x

Profit % = (Profit × 100)/C.P %

= (0.02x × 100)/0.98x %

= 2x/0.98x %

= 2.04 % (approx.)

Hence,

A dishonest shopkeeper gets 2.04% profit.

let , sp of 1 kg sugar be = x .

He uses a weight of 980 g = 0.98 kg for 1 kg.

now ,

selling price of 1 kg sugar = x .

and cost price of 0.98 kg = 0.98 × x = 0.98x.

since , 0.98x < x ,

so there is a profit.

profit = (x - 0.98×)

= 0.2x

profit percentage

= profit/cp × 100

= 0.2x/0.98x × 100 %

= 100/49%

= 2.04 % (approximately)

Therefore, there is a profit of 2.04 %

I tried my best ,but still if there is some fault then I'm sorry , u may report it .

hope this helps u .
