1. Calculate the percentage of nitrogen in ammonium nitrate(NH4NO3)

(Ar of N = 14, Ar of H = 1, Ar of O = 16)

Mr of NH4NO3

= 23 + 16 + 1 = 40

percentage of hydrogen

= 2 x 14/80 × 100

= 28/80 x 100

2800/80

= 35%

2. Calculate the percentage of sodium in sodium carbonate;

Percentage of Sodium [Na] in Sodium Carbonate [Na2CO3] = 46/106 x 100 = 43.40%.

3.calculate the percentage of nitrogen in ammonia

Percentage by mass of nitrogen = ( Mass of nitrogen atom / Mass of ammonia molecule ) x 100 = ( 14 / 17 ) x 100 = 82%.

4.calculate the percentage of nitrogen in potassium nitrate :

The percentage of nitrogen by mass in KNO3

=(14/101)*100%

=13.86%

5.calculate the percentage of hydrogen in sulphuric acid

H = (2.016 g/98.078 g) x 100 = 2.05%

Good luck :)
