It's my pleasure to answer such a question. Thank you Aarohi for asking this question. I have also asked a similar question and I would like to add thier and my opinion here.

Friendship is the most purest relationship in the world. All other realtions we have except friendship is by our birth, but, friendship encourages us to enjoy our birth. A Friend in need is a friend indeed.

Friendship doesn't have any limit. It doesn't matter that our friend is older than us, younger than us. And it also doesn't matter that our friend is a girl of boy.Only limit is that a friend must understand and stand by you.

So, Friendship according to me doesn't have any gender limits at all. Almost all true Friendship have thier sparkle. Don't let it dull only because society blames.

Its often noticed that, (even in my experience ) when a boy and girl are besties, there always have a scope of rumour. If two boys and two girls can be besties , why don't them be? We can say that it is the clear evidence of gender inequality that still exists in our society even in this 21st century. We should make a change. We shouldn't differ from a boy and girl, we can just say they are humans, they are BESTIES instead of saying rumour unneccesaarily.

Even though How much we say we are developed, there exists a sense of inequality even today. We still want to move on. Thus, Friendship is the most precious treasure we can ever have. It dowsnt matter whether its a girl or boy.

Even I have a boy best friend. He is not my lover nor my crush. But, we still care for each other and fight for the most silly and little things. We often faced gossips. But, we never mind what other say, just, we continue our friendship.

So, Always keep mind : What others think of you, is none of your business. Let them think, how much they can, show them that a boy and girl can be best friends forever.

Thus, Friendship doesn't depend upon gender, it depends upon only one thing, the bond and understanding between your bestie and you.

I wants to give my views....!!

First of all..... WHAT IS FRIENDSHIP.....

Friendship is a feeling of love, care, trust and respect..... These are the basic things for a wonderful relation. Friendship is the most nice and beautiful relation in which there is lots of understanding .

it doesn't matters it is with a same gender or opposite. And Best Friend, I can't say about best friends because words are shorter to define best friend. Best friends are the persons who understands each other more then anyone. They stands with each other in each and every moments.

✴Best Friends help to find it we lost some important things like our hope, smile , happiness. They gives us all this.

✳Friends tell us the things, which even we don't want to tell ourself.

✳Friends are like family who supports in each and every moments.

✳Friends are born not made, it's really true.

✳Apart from happiness and love, friends are good guider and mentor.

✳There are big ships and small ships but the best ship is FRIENDSHIP....

✳Friends know us very well ,they get us by our expression.

✳Friendship is not about whom you have known ,the longest it is about who came and never left your side.

So,
it doesn't matters it's with a boy or girl or with the same gender. It should be good, it should have a understanding. Friendship is based on love, truth, sacrifice ,understanding, care, and respect.

The Two friends must always belong to the same and uneven level of feelings for each other. Misunderstanding May crop up at times but it should be disappear soon.
Friendship is a sacred bond... Which cannot be broken by world.

In some of the area it's believed Bad friendship between opposite genders . But soon it will be change as time changes everything. And if they doesn't like, maybe there is some reason but today somehow, it's not like earlier .

So.... Friendship should be like that, that it will have power to change world. It should have great confidence. It should have a mutual trust which is unbrekable.

Friendship doesn't depend on gender, its depends on mutual understanding!!
