Let us solve from downwards,

Let ♤ be 4,
So,

4 × ☢ = 20

☢ = 20\4
☢ = 5

Now, 2 equation,

❆ × 5 = 40
❆ = 40\5

❆ = 8

Then,
Let us solve the first equation,

4 + 4 + (8-4) = 12
4 + 4 + 4 = 12

12 = 12

And, The third one

4 + 4 + 8 = 16
8 + 8 = 16

16 = 16

Therefore, The values are

♤ = 4
❆ = 8

ATQ

x + x + ( y - x ) = 12
x + x + y - x = 12
x + y = 12. ...... (i)
y = 12 - x and put this in equation (ii)

y.z = 40 ...... (ii)
(12 - x) . z = 40
12z - 20 = 40
12 z = 20
z = 20/12
z = 5/3

x + x + y = 16
2x + y = 16 ....(iii)

x.z = 20 ....(iv)
x = 20/z and put this value in equation (ii)
x = 20.3/5
x = 12

y. 5/3 = 40
y = 24
