Q 1) Total time taken by aa ball in bouncing (until it stops)

T = t + 2t₁ + 2t₂ + 2t₃ + ......       ------> (1)

t = time taken by ball to fall from a height h to ground = √(2H/g)

But time taken in nth rebound is eⁿ times of t

t (n) = eⁿ t

So eqn 1 implies

T = t + 2et + 2e²t +.........

T = t + 2t (e + e² + e³ + .....)

T = t + (2te/1-e)

T = (1-e)t + 2te / 1-e

T = t (1+e) / 1-e

T = √(2H/g) (1+e / 1-e)
