classic smog is also called london type smog which occurs in region where emmission of sulphur cointaining compound is high and air contains high liquid water conents.

photo chemical smog is also known as los-angeles-type smog which occurs in the region where there is high emmissions of auto mobiles, large concentrations of reactive hydro carbon and plenty of sunlight.
