★ Hi , there !! ★
here is your answer !!
CHARACTERISTIC OF chemical reaction change in temperature :-
1 ) there is either evolution or need of temperature to continue further reaction.
2 ) temperature required to break down or combine the reaction.
3 ) temperature helps in decomposition and combination reactions.
as the following example that so that temperature helps in combination as well as decomposition reactions :-
C + O2 ====> CO2 + heat + light
CaCO3 ==∆==> CaO + Co2
eg :-
CaO+ H20 ===> Ca( OH )2 + Heat
hope it helps you dear!!!
thanks !!

Characteristics of Chemical Reactions:
change in temperature
It may be characterised by exothermic or endothermic reactions..
Exothermic:
Heat is evolved from the process..
example: reaction of zinc with dilute sulphuric acid..
Endothermic:
Heat is absorbed in this type of process.
Example: Reaction of Barium hydroxide with ammonium chloride to form ammonium hydroxide and barium chloride
As we see, when the cement is mixed with water, there is the evolution of vapours..(water and calcium oxide)
This is the perfect example of exothermic reaction.
alkali with acids - exothermic reactions
endothermic reactions:
classical examples: thermal decomposition of calcium carbonate in a blast furnace..
