Heya !!!!

Here is your answer
==================

Characteristics of a chemical reaction :

1. Change in state

2. Change in colour

3. Change in temperature

4. Evolution of gas

5. Formation of a precipitate

Now, change in colour means , in a chemical reaction there is a colour change in the production of products. The colour of copper sulphate solution changes when an iron nail is dipped in it because Iron being more reactive than copper displaces copper metal from the aqueous copper sulphate solution.

Thus blue colour of copper sulphate fades away to give green colour of ferrous sulphate.
