Let both the equal forces be F

The resultant will be

=

 \sqrt{(f { }^{2}  +  {f}^{2} + 2f.f.cos(theta)) }

(theta is the angle between the forces).

=

 \sqrt{(2 {f }^{2}  + o)}  (cos(90) is \: o

=

 \sqrt{2.f}

=

 \sqrt{2.f }  = 1414

=

f \:  = 1.1414 \times  \: 1000 \div  \sqrt{2}

=

f \:  =  \: 1000n
