In this chapter narrator, Khushwant Singh describe about her grandmother. His grandmother was like a our grandmother, an old women. In the childhood narrator used to live with his grandmother in the village. They were good friends. But after when narrator and his grandmother moved to city. He could no longer accompany with his grandmother. He was started to went English school. But when the narrator started to going English school the grandma was not happy because she did not believe in the things that were taught at the English school. Also, she was upset because in English school there were no teaching about god.
