QUESTION: find the size, position and nature of the image formed when an object of size 1 CM is placed at a distance of 15 CM from a concave mirror of focal length 10 cm

ANSWER:

u = -15cm

f= -10cm

h= 1cm

hence by the mirror formula , we have

$\frac{1}{f} \: = \frac{1}{u} + \frac{1}{v}$

$\frac{1}{v} = \frac{1}{ - 10} - \frac{1}{ - 15}$

$v \: = - 30cm$
