On the day of Diwali, it is a custom to worshipGoddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha together. It is well-known that Goddess Lakshmi is the Goddess of wealth and prosperity while Lord Ganesha is considered the God of intelligence. ... Hence, He is worshipped first to get rid of all the obstacles that hinder our growth.

Here is ur answer,

  • According to Hindus religion

God Ganesh Ji and Goddess lakshmi are being worshiped for a long time .

  • We know that  our country India is a land of festivals . On the occasion of Diwali we worshiped them . But we have no specific Reason in our mind

  • But I have a story behind it .
  • There was a poor man . He was advised by a priest to worship them.               As she is  the Goddess of wealth.

Hope it helps u.
