protoplasm is the combination of all organelles ina cell while cytoplasm is the fluid present.in the cell which gives the cell a rigidity

The main difference between the cytoplasm and protoplasm is its content and its function. A protoplasm is the actual living substance that composes the inside of the cell. A part of it is the cytoplasm. The cytoplasm is the one that surrounds the nucleus.

protoplasm is the content of the cell including the cell membrane cytoplasm and cell nucleus whereas, the cytoplasm is a jelly like substance present within the cell membrane surrounding the nucleus.....
