Question 1:

  • Let's assume that the resistors are each R ohm.

  • Net resistance = R + R + R = 3R

Applying Ohm's Law:

 \therefore \: V = i \times  R_{eq}

 \implies \: V = 2 \times  3R

 \implies \: V = 6R \: volts

So, cell produces 6R volt potential difference.

Question 2:

  • Let each resistance be R.

 \therefore \: V = i \times  R

 \implies \: V = 2 \times  R

 \implies \: V = 2 R \: volts

So, battery produces 2R volt potential difference.

Hope It Helps.

Answer:

as the resistors are connected in series and in series the current is constant therefore in the cell current will also be 2 A.

but in the second question as three resistors are connected in parallel with the battery if the current in each resistor is 2A then in the battery it will be sum

of the current of the three resistors and as each resistor have 2 A of current therefore in the battery it will be 3 times of 2 that is 6 A.
