hey guys,

A stone piece weight 144 gf in air and 88 gf in water. how much will it weigh in kerosene oil of relative density 0.8?

weight of the stone piece in air, W1 = 144 gf

weight of the stone piece is water, W2 = 88gf

and relative density of kerosene oil be W3.

relative density of the liquid =
 \frac{loss \: in \: weight \: of \: the \: stone \: in \: kerosene \: oil}{ loss \: in \: weight \: of \: the \: stone \: in \: water} \\<br />

0.8 = \frac{144 - w3<br />}{144 - 88 } \\<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />= w3 = 91.2gf
