\longrightarrow\underline{\underline{\red{\sf{question \: c : }}}}

what is meant by atomic mass number ? explain how atomic number and mass number of carbon are 6 and 12 respectively?

\longrightarrow\underline{\underline{\red{\sf{solution : }}}}

c)1)the atomic mass number is the nucleons(which is the mixture of protons and neutrons) and electrons in the atomic nucleus.

2)mass number is the sum of neutrons and protons.

atomic number and mass number of carbon are 6 and 12 because :

➜carbon has 6 protons ,6 neutrons and 6 electrons.

so,

➜the atomic number of carbon is 6.

\implies\boxed{\sf{mass = sum \: of \: protons \: and \: neutrons}}

therefore,

6+6=12

➜the mass number of carbon is 12.

atomic number of carbon is 6 and mass number of carbon is 12

d)what is meant by subatomic particles ? give brief information about three subatomic particles with reference to electrical charge, mass and location?

\longrightarrow\underline{\underline{\red{\sf{solution : }}}}

d)1)subatomic particles means any varied units of matter under the:

a)size of an atom.

b)elementary particles.

c)hydrons.

2)the three subatomic particles are:

a)electrons.

b)neucleons(neutrons).

c)protons.

3)neucleons are positively charged and electrons are negitively charged.

4)electrical charge of the three subatomic particles:

a) proton are positively charged.

b) neutrons have no charge.

c) electrons are negitively charged.

5)mass number of the three subatomic particles:

a)proton - 1

b)neutron - 1

c)electron - 0.0005

6) location of the three subatomic particles:

a)proton - neutral particle in the nucleus

b)neutron - inside the nucleus

c)electron - outside the nucleus

 \huge\rm { ☆_!! Question !_! ☆}

what is meant by atomic mass number ? Explain how the atomic number and mass number of carbon are 6 and 12 respectively .

 \huge\rm { ☆_!! Answer !_! ☆}

Atomic Mass number :- It is the sum of the number of neutrons and the number of protons.

the atomic number and mass number of carbon are 6 and 12 respectively :-

[ REASON ]

In carbon we have ,

➳ Number of electron = 6

➳ Number of proton = 6

➳ Number of neutron = 6

Atomic number is 6 as,

Atomic number = Number of proton

and the number of protons is 6

mass number is 12 as,

mass number = No. of proton + No. of neutron

and the sum of proton and neutron is 12 [6+6]

Subatomic Particle :- A Subatomic particle is a particle which is smaller than an atom in size.

three subatomic particles

✭ proton

✭ electron

✭ neutron

Proton -

➢ Location - A positive charge particle inside nucleus .

➢ Electric Charge - Positive

 \tt ±1.6 × 10 ^{ - 19}  C

➢ Mass -  \tt 1.67 × 10^{  -27}kg

Electron -

➢ Location - it lies outside the nucleus

➢ Electric Charge - negative

 \tt -1.6 × 10 ^{ - 19}  C

➢ Mass -  \tt 9.10 × 10^{-31} kg

Neutron -

➢ Location - A neutral particle in nucleus

➢ Electric Charge - No electric charge

➢ Mass -  \tt 1.67 × 10^{−27} kg
