1. These neurons helps us to feel the inner system of our gut and it others contents. It has the ability to control its our reflexes and actions. The enteric nervous system ( ENS ) is termed as second brain of the gut bcz.. it has the ability to operate independent of the brain and the spinal cord.

2. Salivary glands will help in secretion of saliva.

so, if ducts of salivary glands are closed then the following consequences may results :

a. Absence of saliva in mouth and hence we cannot judge the taste of food.

b. Absence of mastication process.

c. Carbohydrates cannot be digested which results in lack of energy.
