Hey guys anyone help..
Q. Find the volume of the wood required to make an open box of internal dimensions 20cm by 12.5cm by 9.5cm,the wood being 1.5cm thick
Answer : 1546.5.....pls prove this

assuming it is the height that is 9.5 cm.
outside volume=[20+(1.5+1.5)]×[12.5+(1.5+1.5)]×[9.5+(1.5)]=23×15.5×11=3921.5
inside volume=20×12.5×9.5=2375
then subtract inside volume from outside volume which is 3921.5-2375=1546.5
