it is a nursery rhyme with dates back to at least it's first non printing in 1714.
it's lyrics are:
there was an old woman who lived under the hill, and if she's not gone she lives their still , baked apples she sold, and cranberry pies, and she is a old woman that never tells lie.
In 1714 these lines appear as a part of catch in the Academy of Complements.
