why is here BaSO4 while valency of barium is 2 and valency of sulphate is also 2
then why is valency not exposed in it and ions are not exchanged

This is because we can also write Ba2(SO4)2

but if we divide then two from both the sides get cancelled which is a rule so it makes it look appropriate and everybody accepts this equation

Explanation:

Here BaSO4 is written because the valency of both Ba and SO4 is 2.

And we have to simply the valency if it can be hence 2 and 2 cancel each other.

It does not indicate that exchange of ions is not there, without it new compound cannot be formed.
