why is here BaSO4 while valency of barium is 2 and valency of sulphate is also 2
then why is valency not exposed in it and ions are not exchanged

The valency of sulphate is also 2

So it is not necessary to mention them

Explanation:

Here BaSO4 is written because the valency of both Ba and SO4 is 2.

And we have to simply the valency if it can be hence 2 and 2 cancel each other.

It does not indicate that exchange of ions is not there, without it new compound cannot be formed.
