2) it is formed when temperatures are high and there are wet and dry periods
3) the heavy rainfall leaches silica,but leaves iron and aluminium oxides behind
4) it is less fertile than alluvial soil
5) it is found in North eastern India,the western ghats and the Chhota Nagpur plateau
