can u all tell me the difference b/w VOLUME and TOTAL SURFACE AREA???

hey bro ... volume means the amount of space that a substance occupies ... and total surface area means three-dimensional shape is a solid shape that has height and depth....

Best way to explain this is use a cube. (a box or similar object)
How much could you put in the box? That's volume. 
Paint the outside of the box. That's surface area. 
Make sense?
so by this you can easily differ between the surface area and volume of any 3-D objects
