CAN U PLS!! SOLVE THIS SUM


if x=2 and x=3 are the roots of the equation 3x^2 - 2ax + 2b=0 then find the value of a and b

IT IS VERY EASY:)

Write the given equation as follows:

kx-m=(3/2)*x^2

since x=2,3 are solutions, you get:

2k-m=(3/2)*2^2=6,

3k-m=(3/2)*3^2=27/2

Hence:

(3k-m)-(2k-m)=k=27/2-6=15/2,

m=2k-6=2*(15/2)-6=9.
