Karyokinesis refers to the division of cell nucleus during mitosis. Karyokinesis is usually followed by cytokinesis i.e. division of cytoplasm.
Karyokinesis brings about the division of nucleus to form two daughter nuclei. It corresponds to the separation of the daughter chromosomes into two daughter nuclei.
