Vapour pressure
it is the pressure applied by the vapour of the liquid over liquid ourface equilibrium is established between the liquid phase and vapour phase .
equilibrium meant
rate of condensation equal to rate of evaporation .
factor affecting vapour pressure:-
vapour pressure of liquid depends on temperature increases vapour pressure of liquid increase.
vapour pressure depends on nature of liquid vapour pressure of Ethanol is higher than water at same temperature .
vapour pressure of liquid is independent of volume of liquid .
vapour pressure of liquid is independent of surface area of liquid .

Hello dear
The major factors that affect vapour pressure at constant pressure and temperature are :
1 . Boiling point , which is a measure of volatility of the substance and ,
2 . The nature and concentration of any solute present in the liquid .
Water is less volatile the alcohol or either because of extensive hydrogen bonding in it . Ether is highly volatile because the molecules are only bound by van der Wall's forces that are much weaker than hydrogen bonding .
