* It consists of plasma, erythrocytes, leucocytes and platelets.

* It is red in colour due to the presence of haemoglobin in erythrocytes.

* It's plasma has more proteins , calcium and phosphorus.

* Glucose concentration is less in blood.

*Amount of CO2 and other metabolic wastes is normal.
