The process by which plants realease the water out to the atmosphere as a extra amount during the process of photosynthesis is known as transpiration.

This mainly happens because plant's roots absorb more water than required for photosynthesis. So, to get rid of the extra amount of water after using the required amount, they realease the water in gaseous state to the atmosphere which is known as transipation.
