According To Electronics diode that is in reversed bias can't pass current through it so the current in 4 ohm resistance will be nearly equal to zero.

But The Current in 8ohm and 2 ohm resistance will flow.

As they are in parallel combination,

So total resistance will be equal to 1.6 ohm.

So potential drop at 8 ohm resistance will be equal to 10 V and across 2 ohm its also 10V as its a parallel combination.

So total current across 2 ohm resistance will be equal to, by Ohm's law

I=V/R

=10/2 =5 A.
